Evidence has shown the positive responses from tourists regarding information and experiences gained from staying on farms, participating in farming related activities (e.g. pick-your-own), tasting fresh produce on farm (e.g. wine and cider tasting, restaurant cooking on farm), and learning about farm animals (e.g. petting zoo).  However reaching out to tourists has been a major problem for farmers who are involved in Agri-Tourism.  Many of the Agri-Tourism farmers created their own websites to promote their Agri-Tourism functions, and other popular promotion methods for Agri-Tourism farmers included brochures, pamphlets, and road signs.  One major item cited by Agri-Tourism operators is the lack of research on the most effective means to reach tourists on specific products and services.
