The UVM Food Systems Spire has released a Request for Proposals for awards that will provide support for faculty committed to transdisciplinary research in Food Systems. Proposals will be reviewed by four Initial Review Groups (IRG) focused on the 4 themes described in the Spires of Excellence for Food Systems Proposal. The four areas and the respective chairs of the IRG are:
- Food, Culture and Health: Amy Trubek
- Regional Food Chains: Rob Parsons
- Energy and Food: Elizabeth Berman
- Policy, Ecology and Land Use: Deborah Neher
Submissions are due April 30, 2011 with the earliest funding date of July 1, 2011.
